My grandmother’s parents emigrated from Sweden and settled in Colorado Springs. My grandmother was born, raised, and lived in Colorado Springs her whole life. She used to tell me that she and her best friend would ride the streetcar that went between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs along Colorado Avenue.
I was driving (read: exploring back streets) this last week, and I happened upon this railyard.
I did a little looking and it seems there is a group who wants to bring the streetcar back.
It could be really nice, actually.

Fab! I always love them. One or two cities have them here. I went on one on Nottingham recently. Bring back the trams!!!

oh i wish they would bring back the trolley! how fun that would be! :) in my opinion, the loss of trains has been a huge loss in our country. there is something so relaxing about taking the train. i can’t wait for the day that there is actually a commuter train between the springs and denver too.
